VICIENZ CARNIVAL

A traditional carnival celebration in Marcianise is the recurrence of Vicienz' Carnival's funeral. People use to organise a fake burial using a stuffed dummy with a weid look. He has a belly, garlic around his neck and a bottle of wine between his legs; he also holds a cross 'decorated' with sausages. People ironically weep for his death. After the celebration, they use to exchange food and drinks and share laughs.
